Graveside services for Mrs. Wanda Gaye Laird of Brookhaven are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at Riverwood Family at 9:00 a.m., on Saturday.

Mrs. Wanda Gaye Laird of Brookhaven was 63 years old. She passed away on September 2, 2020, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.

She was born on February 26, 1957 in Brookhaven, MS.

She was a floral designer and a radio personality. Mrs. Laird was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and painting. Gaye was a loving mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Clinton Calvin Brister Jr., and Jimmie Allene Peeples Brister; and, her husband, David Brian Laird.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Charles Iain Mathes and wife, Heather; and her three grandchildren, Lauren Mathes, Christopher Mathes and Hannah Mathes.
