BRAG Jr. Art Competition open
Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild has announced its 2020 Jr. Art Competition.
The competition is open to all artists in grades 1-12 in Lincoln, Lawrence, Copiah, Franklin, Walthall, Jefferson, Amite and Pike counties.
Awards will be given per age group — elementary, middle and high school — in the categories of 2D and 3D art: $100 for first place; $75 for second place; $50 for third place; and honorable mention. Entries could also win the Bank of Brookhaven Sponsor Award of $250 or The Little Yellow Building Sponsor Award of $100.
Judges are Mississippi artists Adam Trest for 2D art and Stephen Phillips for 3D art. Trest is a painter and illustrator. Phillips is a potter and ceramic artist.
All entries must be submitted by 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Show dates are Nov. 5-30.
