Good Morning Brookhaven! Enjoy sunny Thanksgiving before a weekend of heavy rain

Published 6:20 am Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Looks like a sunny Thanksgiving Day in Brookhaven will be sandwiched between two storm systems that have the potential to bring rain and possible storms.

Things should warm up quickly today with sunny skies this morning and a little more humidity. High temperatures should be in the mid-70s. As the day continues, clouds should increase ahead of a strong cold front that will move through the area tonight and Wednesday morning that will bring the possibility of a few isolated severe thunderstorms. The National Weather Service in Jackson says the main risk will be damaging wind gusts, but a tornado cannot be ruled out.

After the storms clear, Thanksgiving Day should be sunny with highs in the 70s.
