Good Morning Brookhaven! Mr. Freeze will make entrance next week — temps in 20s

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Brookhaven. It will feel a lot like Christmas too when artic air plunges into the region on Monday. Residents will likely experience the first freeze of the season when temperatures plunge into the 20s Monday night. Skies will then be mostly sunny with highs in the 40s.

Downtown Brookhaven looks beautiful with Christmas lights, as seen in this Instagram photo from Edward Moak Designs.

But before you get out the sweaters, enjoy beautiful sunny skies and mild temperatures this Thanksgiving Day. High temperatures will warm into the low and middles 70s.

Rain chances will return overnight with a wave of showers and storms Friday morning. The weekend will be soggy and wet as a stationary front moves through the area, bringing heavy rain and storms on Sunday.
