Lady Wolves have won 10 straight, host Meridian today

The No. 3 ranked Copiah-Lincoln Lady Wolves softball team is riding a 10-game win streak into their home doubleheader today against Meridian C.C. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

Pitching and defense have been especially good for CLCC during that streak, as they’ve only given up a combine 14 runs in that 10-game stretch.

Monday, Co-Lin (11-1) swept Coastal Alabama-North by 6-2 and 9-1 finals.

The preceding Saturday, they went to Scooba and came back with 8-1 and 9-0 victories over East Mississippi.

In game two, sophomore pitcher Bella Luckey (Simpson Academy) gave up only one hit as Co-Lin piled up 16 hits of their own in the win.

In game one, the Lady Wolves got a pair of RBIs from Loyd Star product Johnna Norman. Brookhaven High alum Madi Miller also drove in a run for CLCC in the 8-1 win.

Cera Blanchard (Metairie, La.) picked up the win in game one and moved her record to 5-0 on the season. Blanchard is also batting .545 at the plate with 10 RBIs.

The Lady Wolves are also scheduled to play at home Saturday against Holmes. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
