Monticello recreation gets $15K from GP
The Town of Monticello’s parks and recreation program has received a $15,000 donation from Georgia-Pacific Monticello.
The funds will be used to purchase and install safety netting and fencing to help protect spectators and players from foul balls.
“The Town of Monticello is thrilled to have the continued support of Georgia-Pacific for our sports complex,” said Mayor Martha Watts. “Georgia-Pacific has been a constant supporter since their partnership in building the facility in 2004, and for that we are forever grateful.”
“The athletic complex is an asset to Monticello and Lawrence County, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support it,” said GP Public Affairs Manager Luke Horton. “Our partnership with the town helps further the mission of improving the lives of the people of this community.”
