Head Start accepting applications for fall

Five County Head Start is now accepting applications for the fall.
Low-income families with children ages birth to five years old are eligible to register their children for Head Start services. Five County Child Development Program Inc. is accepting applications for Head Start, Early Head Start and expecting mothers.
Services are provided at no cost to families that qualify. Children and families experiencing homelessness, children in foster care or disabled will be given first priority.
Parents or guardians are required to provide the following:
- Proof of birth date
- Up-to-date immunization record on a 121 form
- Child’s Medicaid or insurance information
- Proof of residency
- Family proof of income for previous 12 months
- Statement or healthcare plan from a doctor if the child has a food allergy or chronic medical condition
- A current Individualized Education Plan if applicable
Expecting mothers must provide the following:
- Proof of birth date
- Immunization records
- Medicaid or insurance information
- Proof of residency
- Family proof of income for previous 12 months
- Proof of pregnancy from a medical professional
