Julian “Jerry” Rutherford Cameron Jr., 77, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 23, 2021. Jerry was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all.

Jerry was born to Julian and Kathryn Cameron on November 29, 1943, in New Orleans, LA. He graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1961 and went on to attend Mississippi State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. Following graduation, Jerry joined the United States Air Force and served four years of active duty. He was honorably discharged having attained the rank of Captain. Jerry spent many years working as an accountant in Baton Rouge and Brookhaven until his retirement.

Jerry is survived by his three children, daughter Kelly Ritter (Greg) of Lafayette, LA., sons Todd Cameron of Alexandria, LA., and Scott Cameron of New York, New York; granddaughters, Taylor Wood (Austin) of Fort Worth, TX, and Makenzie Weber (Rowdy) of Glendale, AZ., sister Ann Linton (Dale) of Brookhaven, MS.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held on May 26, 2021, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 400 Magee Drive in Brookhaven MS. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM with services commencing at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with Sam McDonald officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.
