Funeral services for Thomas Walter Barfoot will be on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at graveside in the Damascus Baptist Church of Franklin County Cemetery. Bro. Leland Smith will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Barfoot, 93, of Franklin County, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, MS. He was born on August 23, 1928, in Franklin County, MS, to Rev. Sam Barfoot and Estelle Griffing Barfoot. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church of Franklin County, where he was a deacon and a men’s adult Sunday school teacher; and he was a member of the choir and loved to sing, including singing solos in the Church. He loved the LORD and his Church family. He worked for many years as a truck driver for International Paper Company. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Virginia Ann Barfoot; his parents; and his brother, Howard Barfoot.

Survivors are his sons, Ricky Barfoot and wife, Debra, Tony Barfoot and wife, Rene, and Dale Barfoot and wife, Melba; sister, Willie Nell; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; and all his friends.

Pallbearers are Tracy Boswell, Jamie Barfoot, Jeff Barfoot, Eric Barfoot, Brian Barfoot and Shane Boswell. Honorary pallbearers are Bryce Barfoot, Sam Barfoot and Blake Barfoot.
