School of the Arts to host faculty visual art exhibit

- Images submitted Mississippi School of the Arts will host a public exhibit and reception with the artists for visual arts faculty Marice Calvert and Brittany Horne on Sept. 30 in Enochs Hall Art Gallery on MSA campus.
Mississippi School of the Arts will host a Visual Art Teachers’ Exhibit of works by instructors Brittany Horne and Maurice Calvert.
Calvert holds a master of arts degree in teaching and a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from Jackson State University. He was a visual art teacher in the Jackson Public School District for eight years prior to joining the staff at MSA.
Horne is a 2007 graduate of MSA, and the first alum to return to teach on staff. She holds an MA in fine art from Mississippi College and a BFA in drawing from Mississippi State University. A former visual art teacher at McComb and Noxubee high schools, Horne has also been photographer for the World of Coca-Cola.
The Sept. 30 show and reception will be open to the public 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Enochs Hall Art Gallery on the MSA campus.
