The Southwest Mississippi Board of Realtors Inc. has adopted a 5-year-old to make his Make-A-Wish dream come true.

Cash wants a treehouse with a slide, swing, ladder, life basket and monkey bars.

“That isn’t a lot to ask for after this little fellow has fought hard in his war against acute myeloblastic leukemia,” said Tammy Strickland of SMBRI.

Cash was diagnosed with AML in July 2020. He spent the next 168 nights at Children’s of Mississippi Hospital in Jackson, isolated from his brother, sister and friends. He underwent chemotherapy treatments and was finally able to go home in early 2021.

The boy loves playing outside, hunting for treasure, climbing trees, practicing karate and playing on his iPad. He is homeschooled.

“In the Bible it says, ‘Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God’ (2 Corinthians 9:7),” Strickland said. “Cash’s one true wish is to have a treehouse. Will you give?”

The Board of Realtors has asked fellow realtors, friends, families and businesses to participate in the granting of Cash’s wish by making tax deductible donations to his Make-A-Wish campaign at https://bit.ly/3nQli5v.
