FSA: Report planting acreage
Published 2:00 pm Saturday, December 4, 2021
Lincoln-Franklin County Farm Service Agency wants local producers to report their planting crop acreage for Fiscal Year 2022.
“We know it is the time of year that producers are planting fall seeded crops (wheat, ryegrass, oats, etc.) for grazing and for grain. It is important that you report your acreage,” a news release from the agency read.
Acreage reporting deadlines are Dec. 5, 2021, for fall seeded crops.
In order to maintain eligibility, many farm programs require an acreage report be filed timely. Failure to file an acreage report by the deadline may cause ineligibility for future program benefits. FSA will not accept acreage reports provided more than a year after the acreage reporting deadline.
Producers are encourage to file reports as soon as planting is completed.
We have maps available for acreage reporting here at the county office to assist producers in making acreage reports. Appointments can be made for assistance.
