The Brookhaven School District has announced all campuses will return to a universal mask mandate when teachers and students return to school this week.
The mandate includes wearing a mask covering the nose and mouth when indoors or on a school bus for all students, teachers and staff. All visitors to K-12 schools, school settings and school district offices just wear masks covering the nose and mouth regardless of vaccination status.
The district will remain in regular contact with local, state and federal health officials for the latest information and recommended practices mitigating the spread of COVID-19, according to a release from Superintendent Rod Henderson’s office on Monday. The district will continue to provide updates to the schools’ community as they become available.
