5 DUI, public drunk arrests over weekend

Five arrests were made by multiple law enforcement agencies Saturday and Sunday for alcohol-related offenses.

Two people were arrested in the early Saturday hours on driving under the influence charges by Brookhaven Police Department.

Jonisha Black, 39, of Brookhaven, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. Saturday morning and charged with DUI-refusal.

Mallory Shania Lewis, 23, of Ruth, was arrested at 5:32 a.m. Saturday and charged with DUI first.

Sunday at 12:09 a.m., BPD arrested Walter Patrick Lumley, 27, of Wesson, and charged him with public drunkenness. Lumley was also charged with disorderly conduct/breaching the peace with a willful want, disturbing the peace of a business, and simple assault domestic violence.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Davis Thomas, 39, of Brookhaven, at 2:03 p.m. and charged him with public drunkenness.

Randolph Brown, 23, was arrested at 7:28 p.m. by an Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper. Brown, of Hammond, Louisiana, was also charged with public drunkenness.
