Owner Charlene Wallace of Roots & Ribbons flower shop on West Court Street in Brookhaven helps customers as an employee in back continues to create flower arrangements for Valentine’s Day. Wallace said she can’t even count how many arrangements, single flowers and gifts they’ve sold so far, and as the ready-to-be go pre-ordered floral designs in the cooler at left show, the business hasn’t had a breather yet. “It’s like this about every year,” Wallace said as she turned to once again answer the ringing phone.
