The fifth annual Downtown Jazzed Up will take place in Brookhaven Saturday, Feb. 26.
Hosted by the Brookhaven Tourism Council, the four-hour event begins at 3 p.m. with live music by Kelsey Smith and Maddie Brabham. The Exchange Club Fair train will give rides, and beads, face painting and bounce houses will be available in the South Railroad Park parking lot.
Live music will continue at 4 p.m. on the corner of South Railroad Avenue and East Cherokee Street in front of Brookhaven ENT. Nix, Jason Nix, Steve Fee and American Idol winner Trent Harmon will perform. At 6 p.m., Everyday People Band will take the stage.
“We can’t wait to see downtown full of people having a good time and enjoying the live music,” said Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Tourism/Membership Director Jillian Ricceri. “This event continues to grow each year and is so much fun for the entire community and is free to the public.”
Downtown businesses also have the opportunity to set up and promote their businesses. Several plan to give away candy, beads and other like items.
