Are you feeling jazzy? How about a little country?

The fifth annual Downtown Jazzed Up is tomorrow in downtown Brookhaven.

It’s a great time to have fun in a family-friendly environment, celebrating Mardi Gras a few days early or just bringing the children and grandchildren out for a fun afternoon.

Hosted by the Brookhaven Tourism Council, the event is 3-7 p.m. Children can ride the Exchange Club Fair train and play in bounce houses. Face painting, candy and beads will also be available.

Live music will begin at 3 p.m. with Kelsey Smith and Maddie Brabham.

At 4 p.m., NIX, Steve Fee, Jason Nix and American Idol season 15 winner Trent Harmon will perform.

Everyday People Band will take the stage from 6 until 7 p.m.

“We can’t wait to see downtown full of people having a good time and enjoying the live music,” said Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Tourism/Membership Director Jillian Ricceri. “This event continues to grow each year and is so much fun for the entire community and is free to the public.”

The party will continue with “Nashville Unplugged” at 7 p.m. in The Haven, featuring the four country music artists who will have given a preview from 4 until 6 p.m.

The Haven Concert Series’ doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 and a cash bar will be available. BLT season ticket holders, Star Level and above, can secure their tickets by calling 601-990-2243.
