Officers with Brookhaven Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Highway Patrol worked a total of seven traffic accidents Tuesday during the rains and other hazardous weather that struck the area.

BPD reported two accidents — one at 10:03 a.m. on Old Hwy. 51 N, and another at 4:17 p.m. on Hines Street.

LCSO also reported two accidents — one at 10:38 a.m. on Nola Road and another at 5:48 p.m. on Auburn Drive.

MHP reported three one-vehicle wrecks, none with injuries. The first was at 1:46 p.m. on Hwy. 84 W, westbound past 84 Chevron. Another occurred at 2:29 p.m. on Hwy. 84 at Lower Meadville Road, and the third was at 2:54 p.m. on Hwy. 583 north of Enterprise Attendance Center.
