Robert W. Britt

Robert W. Britt was born on Feb. 9, 1930, in Brookhaven, MS to Solon Wilson Britt and Edna Jackson Britt. He died on March 3, 2022.
Britt served in the US Navy from Auburn University with a degree in forestry. He worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service in Washington DC and traveled to all 50 states checking on forestry practices on their lands. He served as Chief of Natural Resources at Eglin Air Force Base near Fort Walton Beach, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sally Branch Britt, his daughter Sandra McDonald, her husband Jeffrey; his granddaughters, Michelle McDonald and Melissa McDonald Graves, her husband David; his great-grandchildren, Alivia, Kameron, and Samuel.
A funeral service was held for Britt at Alabama Military Cemetery at Montevallo, AL, on March 8, 2022.
