Mr. Garry Dean Brown, 73, of Summit, MS, passed from this life on Thursday April 14, 2022, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 8, 1948 in McComb, MS, to Earl Lee Brown and Nell Wallace Brown.

He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and we are very proud of him today.

He enjoyed spending time with his dogs. He enjoyed life in retirement where he spent much time working in his shop and his yard. He retired from MDOT as a supervisor after 20-plus years of employment. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two grandchildren, Alyssa Ann Gill-Brown and Athene Marie Brown.

He is survived by one daughter, Missy Ann Brown; three sons, Garry Dale Brown and Angela, Anthony Earl Brown, and J.C. Brown and Allison; one sister, Kay Brown Johnson; two brothers, Danny Earl Brown Sr., and C.E. Eddie Brown; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two very special friends, Mark and Patricia Savoie; his fur babies, GiGi, Blackie, Whitie and Betty White; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Eddie Brown, Garry “Bubba” Brown, William Brown, Jason Johnson, Danny Earl Brown Jr., and Jonathan D. Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 12 PM until time of service at 2 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, with Bro. Steve Sasser officiating. A burial will follow in the Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery in Summit, MS.
