Children ages 18 and under can eat for free during the month of June.
The Wild About Summer free meal program begins Monday, June 6, and will continue on Mondays through Thursdays until the end of June.
Sponsored by the Brookhaven School District, no applications or paperwork are necessary. Children do not have to be enrolled in the Brookhaven School District to participate. Children do, however, have to be present to receive meals.
Breakfast will be served 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday, and lunch from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Students can go to Mamie Martin Elementary, Lipsey Middle School or Alexander Junior High for the meals.
On Thursdays at lunch, meals will be given to each child to take home for Friday.
