Paul Kenneth Warren, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, passed away June 5, 2022 at home. The visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on June 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The service will also be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Kenneth was born April 13, 1937, in Brookhaven, to Floyd and Alice Smith Warren. He attended Loyd Star School for 10 years, then transferred to Brookhaven High School, where he graduated in 1955. At Brookhaven High School, he was a member of the baseball and basketball teams.

Following high school, he attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, graduating in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts Education.

Kenneth began his career with the Brookhaven School District at Brookhaven High School teaching mechanical drawing, shop, and eighth-grade math. He was transferred to the new Vocational-Technical Building to be the Industrial Arts Instructor in 1973, then promoted to Director of Transportation in 1980. During his tenure at Brookhaven High School, he served as assistant baseball coach. After Kenneth retired from the school district, he was elected as Lincoln County Justice Court Judge in 1991, and served 8 years.

First Baptist Church in Brookhaven was blessed to have Kenneth and Patsy as active members, where they were married on December 20, 1958. Kenneth was a lifetime deacon, a member of the LLL, and served on the transportation, properties, and missions committees. Kenneth and Patsy visited the village of La Nariz in Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico for twenty-three years as part of the mission team.

Family members who preceded Kenneth in death were Patsy Beck Warren, his wife of 62 years; Floyd and Alice Warren, parents; Olian Oscar and Alma Beck, father and mother-in-law; Charlotte and Paul Jackson, sister and brother-in-law; Gerald Moak, brother-in-law; Robert Martin Scholtes, brother-in-law; and Laura Beck Kitchens, niece.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Scott and Cathy Warren, Jody and Greg Hoff, Brooks and Amanda Warren, and Beck and Angie Warren.

He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kern and Emily — Katherine and William Hoff; Kensy and Bill — Jon, Meg, Lil, and Alice Allbritton; Peyton and Brittney — Will and Allie Peyton Warren; Kay and Chris — Kaylynn, Cara, Kylie, and Christopher Jarancik; Mason and Brooklyn — Miller and Rhett Warren; Elliott and Molly — and Anne Warren; Lydia and Glenn — and Ellie James McLaughlin; Madison Warren; Bailey Warren; Sarah Rice and Keaton Halbert; Fisher Warren and Caroline Bates, fiancé; and Anne Brantley Warren.

Other survivors include: Patsy Moak, sister; Hilda Scholtes, sister-in-law; and Oscar and Mary Jim Beck, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

The family expresses appreciation to his caregiver, Tasha Brown, The Aspen of Brookhaven, and Compassus Hospice in Brookhaven.
