MSA hosting annual Summer Camp

The Mississippi School of the Arts is hosting 90-plus rising eighth – 10th graders from all over the state this week at its annual Summer Camp.
Campers get to choose two different areas to experience at the week long camp including Vocal, Dance, Literary Art, Theatre, Visual Art and Filmmaking. They also enjoy evening activities including a luau, carnival, water balloons and movie night.
Campers can commute or stay in the dorm. The week culminates with a program for their families.
MSA is an 11th and 12th grade visual and performing arts residential, public high school located on the historic Whitworth College campus in Brookhaven. Students not only meet and exceed the traditional Mississippi high school curriculum, they receive special instruction in the arts. In addition to MSA students consistently winning awards on the state, regional and national levels, the school holds the No. 2 highest ACT average in the state.
