WEST LINCOLN — An ADS/Arrow Garbage Truck caught fire on US84 near West Lincoln Drive Thursday morning around 6 a.m. According to Lincoln County EMA Director Chris Reid, a call about the fire came in around 5:45 a.m.

Fire Departments from Loyd Star, Zetus and New Site responded to the call and were able to extinguish the fire. He said the fire started due to a mechanical problem and some garbage caught flame. 

This fire caused some damage to the truck but no damage to the road. There were no injuries in the incident.
