A local family can win a new metal roof for Christmas.

Reed’s Metals in Brookhaven will donate a metal roof to one family that may not be able to afford to replace their current roof, as part of the company’s Covering the Community program.

“It’s just one small way we’re trying to make a difference in our community,” according to a statement from the company.

Anyone can nominate someone in need by writing a story and submitting a photo of the family’s damaged roof. These can be dropped off at a Reed’s Metals location or submitted online. Submissions can be made and more information found at https://bit.ly/3TWBJL8

All submissions will be considered, and the Reed’s team will vote to select the final recipient. The program is only available to homeowners. Renters, landlords and commercial properties are not eligible.
