Enterprise Navy Chief to speak at EAC

Brookhaven native and Enterprise Attendance Center graduate Jeremy E. Ables will be the guest of honor at his alma mater Friday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day.
Navy Operations Specialist Chief Petty Officer Ables is a 2012 EAC graduate. He enlisted in the Navy in November 2012, attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, then completed Operation Specialist “A” School there, as well. His first command was upon the USS Vicksburg (CG 69) in Mayport, Florida.
During his 10-year-career, Ables’ afloat assignments were also on USS Hue City (CG 66) and USS Lassen (DDG 82). He completed a deployment in support of Standing NATO Martitime Group Two, serving in 11 different countries in a nine-month span, three deployments to the Persian Gulf, and one within Fourth Fleet AOR.
Ables currently serves ashore at his first assignment, Afloat Training Group Mayport, Florida, as an Anti-Air Warfare and Harpoon Engagement Planner instructor and assessor.
Ables’ personal awards include Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards); Flag Letter of Commendation (two awards); Good Conduct Award (three awards); Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal; and various Unit Awards.
Ables and his wife Adriean have two children: son Eastman, 8; and daughter Aydabelle, 6.
