Brookhaven Servitium Club’s annual Red Beans, Rice & Sausage Day returns.

Prepared by Mitchell’s Special Events and Catering, the $10 meals are available for carry out only at Mitchell’s, Wednesday, Nov. 16, 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Sponsored by Brandon Ciaramitaro State Farm, proceeds will fund the community-oriented projects of the service club formerly known as Kiwanis. The red beans meal and pancake breakfast are Servitium’s only fundraising efforts.

The club’s name is Latin for “Service to All.” All money raised by the group goes to local children’s charities and scholarships to Mississippi Scholars.

The red beans meal began in the 1990s.

Tickets can be purchased from any local Servitium member, or by sending a Facebook message to Brookhaven Servitium Club.
