Most of Lincoln County is under an enhanced risk of significant severe storms today. A portion of northwest Lincoln County is under a moderate risk.

Counties surrounding the area are under either an enhanced or moderate risk Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday morning.

Enhanced risk — tornadoes are likely, some possibly strong, damaging winds of up to 70 mph, with large hail up to golf ball size.

Moderate risk — strong tornadoes are possible, significant and long-tracked, with damaging winds up to 80 mph, and large hail up to tennis ball size.

The National Weather Service cautions residents to remain vigilant and pay attention to local news outlets and NOAA weather radio for updates.
