BROOKHAVEN — On the first day of Christmas, Mississippi sent blue skies and sunshine. On the second day of Christmas, Mississippi sent storm clouds and rain. The third day of Christmas is traditionally made up of a trio of French Hens but not here.

NWS Jackson forecasts a sunny Thursday with a high of 58. Wind will blow from the west at 5mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Thursday night should be clear with a low around 35. There will be a calm wind which should turn into a south southwest wind blowing at 5mph.

Wednesday’s tornado watch for Lincoln County has also been cancelled. It was set to expire at 8 p.m.
