Funeral services for Vonceil Magee Smith will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the graveside in McCall Creek Church of God Cemetery, McCall Creek, MS, at 2:00 PM. Bro. Travis Touchstone will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A short viewing prior to the service will be done graveside.

Mrs. Smith, 89, of McCall Creek, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at home. She was born on April 1, 1933, in Franklin County, MS, to Stevie and Josie Magee. She was a member of McCall Creek Church of God; while there she was involved in the music program. She worked for many years as a Franklin County Elementary School teacher; and enjoyed music, teaching piano and singing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 60 years, Rev. Marshall Kenneth Smith; sister, Pauline Jackson; and brothers, David Magee, S. E. Magee, and Othel Magee.

Survivors are her, son, Kenneth Smith Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Elaine Arnold of McCall Creek, MS; brother, Charles Magee of McCall Creek, MS; grandchildren, Taylor Smith of Starkville, MS, Kelly Smith of Brandon, MS, and William Smith of Starkville, MS; great-grandchildren, Sage Smith of Starkville, MS, and Riley Badon of Brandon, MS; and a host of family and friends.
