Funeral services for Dr. Joe Willie Smith are 10 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Mighty God Missionary Baptist Church in Brookhaven, Mississippi. The interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for 10-11 a.m. at the church on Saturday.

Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Smith, age 76, was born in Brookhaven, MS on October 7, 1946.

He passed away on January 13, 2023 at his home in Brookhaven, MS.

He was the son of Annisana and Lucille Smith.
