Brookhaven’s Boy Scouts of America Troop 119 boarded five new Eagle Scouts recently. Presented were Brooklyn Lee, Russell Watts, JK Perkins, Colt Piper and Asher Newman. Each Scout has earned over 21 awards in areas such as citizenship requirements in the community, nation, and world, personal fitness, and management of personal time and finances.

These Scouts have participated in Scouting for the last 7-9 years and culminated their time in planning, organizing, and leading extensive service projects, or simply “Eagle Projects,” which benefited local institutions and the community.

“Only four percent of Scouts earn the Eagle medal so congratulate them when you see them on achieving this once-in-a-lifetime award,” Scout Master Rollin Roberts said.
