A 9.3-mile section of Hwy. 587 in Lawrence County will close for four days for construction.

The closure will be for both lanes of the highway between Oak Grove Road and Divide Road, from 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, until 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) will replace pipes at three locations.

Drivers should seek an alternate route. Motorists are reminded to be on high alert for roadside workers.
