BROOKHAVEN — Ole Brook Snow Cone and Snack Stand on Industrial Park Road moved one step closer to opening by passing its first health inspection. The Mississippi Department of Health gave an A in their restaurant inspection of Ole Brook Snow Cone and Snack Stand this week. 

The snow cone and snack stand is located at 764 Industrial Park and is classified as a flavored ice, snowball restaurant. Owner Beth Hutchinson told The Daily Leader two weeks ago she hoped to be open in April.

Loyd Star Attendance Center and MSA’s cafeterias received A’s from the Mississippi Department of Health. It is the 16th straight A Loyd Star has received in the restaurant inspection.  No violations were reported. 

MSA’s Student Life Center passed its restaurant inspection with its 12th straight A according to MDOH records.

People can file health related complaints with the Mississippi Department of Health for any restaurant, caterer or other food facility in the state by contacting your local county health department or emailing food@msdh.ms.gov. The complaint must have details about the location, time and date of visit and the nature of the problem. You can also file a complaint on the MDOH website.
