Sen. Jason Barrett, accompanied by Rep. Becky Currie and Rep. Vince Mangold — all of Brookhaven — on Monday led the presentation of Senate Concurrent Resolution 546, recognizing the Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars softball team and head coach Lisa Covington at the Capitol for clenching their second-straight MAIS 5A State Championship, Oct. 6, 2022, with an 11-1 victory over Oak Forest Academy.
