Playoff slate: Monday, Tuesday night filled with local action

Brookhaven High School will be one of four area teams playing in MHSAA first round baseball playoff finales on Saturday throughout the area. Enterprise will host French Camp Academy at noon, Bogue Chitto will host Pelahathcie at noon, BHS will host Wayne County at 2 p.m. and Wesson will host Southeast Lauderdale at 6 p.m.

BROOKHAVEN — The MHSAA and MAIS baseball playoffs will open today while Softball continues playoff action. You can watch local schools play two home baseball games tonight and watch five local home games Tuesday night.

Loyd Star and Velma Jackson play Tuesday evening in a double header. Check back tonight for final scores and a story from Wayne County at Brookhaven.

Tuesday softball

Pelahatchie at West Lincoln, 6 p.m.
