Each year the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Federation conducts the Ag in the Classroom Coloring Contest for second grade students in Lincoln County. Mississippi is considered an agricultural state and this year’s coloring contest highlighted the various elements related to farming in Mississippi. Students colored a beautiful little farm consisting of catfish, row crops, livestock and more.

Brookhaven Academy and Loyd Star Attendance Center participated in the contest and each school had two winners. The Loyd Star student winners were Paisley Durr and Lexi Case. The Brookhaven Academy student winners were Cane Grace and Ella Calcote.
