Set your GPS for Spartanburg, Lady Wolves are World Series bound

WESSON – The Lady Wolves punched their ticket to the NJCAA Division II Softball World Series by eliminating the Wildcats of Pearl River with a 7-1 win on Sunday, May 14 in the Region 23 Tournament. The Lady Wolves then used that momentum to sweep the Bobcats of Jones, 9-5 and 9-2, to win the first Region 23 Championship in 15 years. Now, the Lady Wolves have their eyes set on the competition they will face at Tyger River Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The 16-team, double elimination tournament will feature 10 nationally ranked teams including No.1 Murray State (OK), No.2 Louisburg (NC), No. 3 South Mountain (AZ), No. 4 Parkland (IL), No. 5 Jones, No.7 Co-Lin, No. 10 Rock Valley (IL), No. 17 Des Moines Area (IA), No. 18 Danville Area (IL), and No. 19 Potomac State (WV).

The Lady Wolves will be seeded fifth in the tournament and will play the No. 12 seed Lansing (MI) at 1 pm (CT), 2 pm (ET) on Tuesday, May 23. To view the full bracket, click here.
