Snip, snap, Blue Sky celebrates grand opening

BROOKHAVEN — Mayor Joe Cox made a simple snip snap of the giant gold scissors to cut the red ribbon in front of Blue Sky. Regional manager Gerald Barnes and Blue Sky representatives were present.
Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Garrick Combs welcomed the newly renovated gas station back to business on Brookway Boulevard. Angela Furr, incoming chamber board president for 2024, made the trip down from Co-Lin.
Blue Sky is hosting a series of grand opening promotions this week including sales on food and beverages which end tomorrow. Another exciting event is the appearance of the Jack Links Sasquatch who is supposed to make a return tomorrow with Venture Sales at 11 a.m. for pictures and free samples. Darth Vader and a dinosaur will make their appearance after the Sasquatch until 3 p.m.
Blue Sky’s first day of business was in May unveiling a brighter, better store with a variety of refreshment options.
