BROOKHAVEN — Starbucks is coming to 879 Brookway Boulevard in Brookhaven where Speedee Cash once was. The building was demolished last week to make way for new construction of a Starbucks Coffee Shop.

Brookhaven Building Inspector David Fearn said he was able to confirm the rumors of Starbucks coming to town. He said a new business would be coming soon to the former TH Perkins space across the street at 830 Brookway Boulevard but still no update on the former Rite Aid location.

Starbucks is a coffee company which was started in Seattle, Washington and has a nearby location in McComb. A call to Starbucks media hotline and an email to the company have not been answered at time of publication. We will update this story.
