A 12-year-old reported missing Tuesday has been located and is safe, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

An Endangered/Missing Child Alert was issued by the MBI for Nya Slaughter, of Jackson.

Slaughter had been last seen at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, walking north on North West Street. She was described as a black female, 5-foot-8, weighing 110 pounds, with long black braided hair and brown eyes.
