Flash flooding could be a risk Wednesday

BROOKHAVEN — Rainfall over the last week has led to the potential for flash flooding in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. National Weather Service Office in Jackson warns flash flooding poses a slight threat to Lincoln County and Southwest Mississippi.
Two to four inches of rain is possible with local amounts potentially higher in a short period of time. Localized flash flooding is possible in low lying areas, urban areas and small creeks and bayous.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 4 p.m. in Lincoln County and there is a 70 percent chance of rain today. Thursday through next Tuesday has at least a 20 percent chance of rain if not greater.
P0wer is restored to all Southwest, Entergy and Magnolia Electric customers in Lincoln County.
