Busy week ahead

BROOKHAVEN — It is a busy week in Brookhaven and it all starts Tuesday when AITX celebrates the grand opening of a major investment project. Saturday will also be an action filled day with music and politics.

AITX is set to cut its ribbon for a completed plant expansion at 10 a.m. on July 18 at 516 N Park Drive. The project was a $30 million investment and is set to generate 100 jobs.

Saturday, July 22, will be filled with politics and music but the good news is the schedule allows for both.

Hog Chain and Bogue Chitto Volunteer Fire Departments will host a political rally and fundraiser at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. there will be music, food and politicians will get to share their plans for Lincoln County. The rally will be held at the Bogue Chitto fire department at 357 Bogue Chitto Road SE.

Brookstock will be held the same day at the Brookhaven Building at 1154 Beltline Drive. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and music will start at 6 p.m. It is $10 at the door and concessions will be available.

The Laughter of Ruin, 4-Way Stop, Mike J. Case, The Mickey Man Band and The Bridge Band will be performing at Brookstock. Bring your own beverage.
