BROOKHAVEN — Local non-profit iCARE Foundation will host a Family Fun Day on August 12 for the exceptionally abled and their loved ones. Owner Shannon Alford opened the non-profit iCARE Foundation in June.
Her goal is to serve families and special needs children through the foundation and a Family Fun Day is one event planned to provide inclusion. Easthaven Baptist Church will host the event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Brookhaven.
Indoor and outdoor activities will be available. Children will be able to do a craft station, enjoy a ball pit, roll in a bubble house, sensory play and games indoors. Outdoor activities will include a ride/run through a sprinkler and a splash pad if weather is permitting.
Alford’s flyer states staff will be on hand to aid with transfers and activities. Quiet rooms will also be available for anyone who needs a break. Food and drinks will be provided.
If you plan to attend please register on the iCARE foundation website under Contact Us.
