Lincoln County Volunteer Fire Departments and the Mississippi Fire Commission are on the scene of a wildfire on Pricedale Drive Tuesday afternoon.

The fire is south of Mount Olive Road SE.

Emergency Management Director Chris Reid said the fire was crowning the trees.

Petroleum company Denbury Resources has wells nearby, but those have been shut off, according to Reid.

MFC Public Information Officer Kevin Craft said the estimated acreage of the fire is 15 acres. Fire fighters are still on scene.
