Food plot planters might want to take advantage of Wednesday’s forecasted rain. Moisture in the soil is needed for seed germination and it might be the best chance yet.

Dry conditions continue to persist and remain a threat for fires to quickly spread. Lincoln County and 51 other counties in Mississippi are under burn bans.

Please be responsible and heed all burn bans. Low humidity and winds could help a fire get out of control quickly.

Citations will be issued for anyone who violates the burn ban and people are liable for damage caused by fire they set.
