HEUCKS RETREAT — Volunteer firefighters responded to a trailer fire on Furrs Mill Drive Monday evening. It was the third fire of the day for Lincoln County VFDs to battle.

Heucks Retreat Fire Chief Joe Honea said no one was injured in the blaze. New Sight and Heucks Retreat were called out to the fire. He added the fire was thankfully contained to the kitchen.

Firemen started out their day putting out a woods fire near Lake Lincoln Monday Morning. They then put out a hay truck that had caught fire going down Auburn Drive Monday afternoon.

A reminder Lincoln County remains under a burn ban until further notice. Citations will be issued. People are liable for any damage caused by a fire they start.
