BROOKHAVEN — Overcast skies will not bring any rain this week but there is a chance for some precipitation next week. It is much needed as pine trees are showing signs of stress with needles turning brown and the ground crunches with each step.

Don’t be in a rush to plant food plots just yet. NWS Jackson forecasts a chance of sprinkles for Monday and Tuesday but gives no percentage of the coverage area expected to get precipitation just yet.

Friday is forecast to reach a high of 86 and Saturday will reach 86. Low temperatures are forecast to drop down to a cool 43 and 38 next week with highs in the 70s and 60s with the forecasted sprinkles.
