BROOKHAVEN — Seven businesses in Brookhaven and Lincoln County earned A ratings from the Mississippi Department of Health this week. The ratings come from inspections on restaurants and establishments which serve food.

Friends Kitchen at 505 Monticello Street earned an A rating for the bar but got a B for the restaurant. They corrected a violation concerning eating, tasting, drinking or tobacco use on the spot to earn their third straight B rating. Friends Kitchen Bar has received an A rating twice since opening the bar in 2021.

583 Nutrition and Dellas K&C LLC earned an A rating at 2640 Highway 583 in Bogue Chitto. It is their second straight A rating since opening in 2022.

Haven Hall at 101 Mill Street continued a perfect record by earning an A for the 15th straight time since 2016. Chisms Dinner at 1389 Union Street Extension earned an A rating for the 15th straight time since 2016 as well.

Westbrook Cinema 4 at 454 Brookway Boulevard earned an eighth straight A. Bogue Chitto Truck Stop at 63 Bogue Chitto Road Southeast earned an A rating for the ninth time.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is finger-licking good and clean. It passed with an A rating for the fifth straight time at 764 Brookway Boulevard.
