BROOKHAVEN — Spooktober is here and so are events to celebrate fall and halloween.

Celebrate Halloween with the Bude Police Department.

Reggie Cain, Bude Police Chief, said his department will host a Trunk or Treat on October 31. The event will go from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 125 Railroad Avenue in Bude. Clubs, organizations and businesses can participate by setting-up a trunk or making a donation. Contact Bude City Hall at 601-384-2600 to learn more.

Bude Police Department will host a Halloween Movie Night following Trunk or Treat. It will be a free and fun family night with the classic halloween movie “Hocus Pocus” in front of Bude’s Town Hall from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Minors need to be accompanied by an adult for the movie night.

“Thank you in advance for helping bring together our community,” Cain wrote in an announcement.

Kids R Us Learning Center in Brookhaven will host a Trunk or Treat event on October 31 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Visit 523 Schwem Avenue for treats.

Churches host events

Grace Life Church in Brookhaven will host a Trunk or Treat at 5:30 p.m. on Halloween Night at Ole Towne Church. The location is at 220 South Jackson Street.

Bethel Temple-Pentecostal Church will host a Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat starting at 5 p.m. Sunday until 6 p.m. A free hot dog, chips and a drink will be provided to anyone who comes. Festivities will continue until 7.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will host a trunk or treat and fall festival this Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m at 680 Mt Zion Rd NW, Brookhaven.

Clear Branch Baptist Church will host a Fall Festival on October 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Inflatables, Hayrides, games, candy and a cake walk will be featured.

Bogue Chitto Baptist Church will host a Fall Festival the same Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a church wide trunk or treat, cake walk and fish fry.

Heucks Retreat Baptist Church’s Fall Festival is October 29 from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. Join the church for a pumpkin patch, live music, food & dessert, bounce house and face paint at Oberschmit Park at 2167 Heucks Retreat Road.

Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church will have a Fall Festival with bible trivia, food, games, prizes and more from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 28 at 749 North Jackson Street in Brookhaven.

Easthaven Baptist Church will host a Kidzfest 2023: Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 29. Games, candy, prizes, inflatables and a petting zoo will be available.

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church will host a fall festival on Saturday, October 28 from 6 to 8pm. The festival will have crafts, games, food and bouncy houses at 814  Marwood Loop SE, Bogue Chitto.

Macedonia will host a Fall Festival from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Face painting, hayrides, chili cookoff and cotton candy will highlight the fun day.

Sylvarena Baptist Church will host a Fall Festival Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the church’s family life center. Chili cookoff, cake walk, trunk or treat, games and fellowship will highlight the evening. Visit 1119 Old Sylvarena Road in Wesson.

The Assembly will host a Trunk or Treat Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Railroad Park in Brookhaven. Candy, face painting, games, food, prizes and bouncy houses will be featured.
